2024 Look Back and Learn
Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Innovation at Vecteris
As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate the milestones, achievements, and lessons learned from this incredible year. At Vecteris, our mission is to empower CEOs, product leaders, and product managers in B2B professional services to successfully navigate the journey of scaling for growth. We are incredibly proud of the strides you, our customers, have made in launching new and improved offerings, testing with beta products, and even making the tough decision to kill ideas that didn’t align with your vision for growth. Here is a short recap of all you have accomplished.
Over 30 Scalable Offerings Launched (or Relaunched)
This year, we worked with more than 30 organizations looking to rationalize their customer service offerings. For example, we partnered with one global market research firm to assess market demand and growth potential for their entire portfolio of custom services resulting in a streamlined portfolio of ten productized offerings, significantly increasing margins and improving quality.
Other clients spent 2024 focused on net new products, such as Finit, the largest OneStream partner that launched three new apps in 2023 (DrillIt, ToolkIt, and AllocateIt) and their Expert Answers subscription offering in 2024. Congratulations must also be extended to InfoTrust, a digital analytics consulting company, for launching their G4A Scorecard, helping clients unlock the full potential of Google Analytics 4.
Expanded Learning through Beta Launches
In 2024 we have seen a growing number of organizations working with our coaches to establish beta programs to test a wide variety of offerings from data products for large non-profits and governments to insight products for food service marketers and even green power programs. We can learn so much from these early customers before a full launch.
Perhaps Most Importantly, Killing those Sacred Cows
Customers know that I will often remind them: "if you haven't killed at least one idea--you aren't testing enough". This year our customers understood the assignment, and at least a half dozen ideas were killed this year. Those decisions can be made at any stage in the Productize PathwayⓇ: after a market analysis, based on feedback from prospects and customers, or through the process of creating a pro forma. It is important when working lean to scrap bad ideas as quickly as possible and move on saving hundreds of thousands of dollars and months of otherwise wasted efforts.
Like our Clients, Vecteris also Launched New Offerings This Year
Innovation has been a cornerstone of our year. We successfully launched several new products and features:
- Commercialize: The third book following Productize and Fearless, explores the later phases of the Productize PathwayⓇ, providing advanced strategies for scaling and sustaining growth.
- Pricing and Packaging Accelerator: Following the success of our current Productize Pathway Accelerator where customers validate a productization opportunity, this new Commercialization Accelerator provides structured guidance and actionable insights to help our customers optimize their pricing and packaging strategies. Built on the principles outlined in the book Commercialize, it serves as a natural next step for organizations ready to scale their offerings effectively.
- Add-On Research: This year customers have turned to Vecteris to test scalable solutions. For this reason, we developed an add-on research option for when organizations need additional capacity to gather customer feedback quickly or when faced with reaching hard-to-access prospects or customers.
